Sunshine Pre-School has developed significantly over the past few years, but has always been at the heart of the community. We have a good reputation which has been established over this time and many parents tell their friends about us and often return later with siblings. We are located on Kirkhill estate, just outside of Morpeth town centre.

We are a private pre-school who are passionate about providing a great place within the community where pre-school children can come and have fun and play.

The setting is small and friendly, child led with individual learning, which is achievable by the well staffed environment , who have years of experience.

Here the children will have an opportunity to develop the essential foundation skills they will need to enable them to be school ready.

EYFS

We are registered with Ofsted and deliver the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) in our pre school sessions, this means that we work together with the child's family to help children to develop to their full potential through our experienced staff who plan activities that will help children in their formative years to developthe all important staps for later learning.

All children have a key worker whose role it is to build a warm and close relationship with their key child and their families. Together they take responsibility for observing the child and help them to feel secure and make good progress.  They will consider what the child enjoys and where their child is developmentally and then plan activities to support their learning by providing toys, equipment and opportunities that are appropriate, child led and fun.

Each child has a learning journal.  This is a record of their achievements and development throughout their time at Sunshine, and parents are encouraged to share in this with their child and their key worker with photos or notes about what the child has been doing. Access to your child’s online journal can be accessed through the link from an email which will be sent to you via 'School 360'.
